Common questions
How do I get back photos I deleted?
Open the Photos app, go to Collections (Albums on older versions of iOS) and find Recently Deleted under Utilities. Unlock it with Face ID or your passcode, select what you want back and tap Recover. They stay there only for a limited time, which Apple decides.
Haven’t emptied Sift’s trash yet? Then nothing is deleted: open the trash in Sift and tap the photos you want to keep.
How do I get back emails or Drive files?
Emails Sift trashed are in Gmail’s Trash, and files in Google Drive’s Trash, until Google deletes them for good. Open Gmail or Google Drive, go to Trash and restore them from there.
How do I disconnect my Google account?
In Sift, open Gmail or Google Drive, tap the ⋯ menu and choose Disconnect. You can also remove Sift’s access from your Google Account at any time, at myaccount.google.com/connections.
Does Sift upload my photos?
No. Everything happens on your iPhone, and Sift doesn’t collect anything about you. The Privacy Policy has the details.
Which languages does Sift speak?
English, Hebrew, Arabic and Russian. Sift follows your iPhone’s language. To pick another one, tap the gear on Sift’s Home screen and choose a language.
Why are Gmail and Google Drive “Coming soon”?
Apps that work with Gmail and Google Drive have to pass a review by Google first. They’ll arrive in an update once it’s done.
